Construction management is the fastest growing occupation in the US.

The demand for quality construction managers has never been greater with companies paying a median salary of over $88,000 per year. The demand is so great that it is taking construction companies months to find and hire new managers. This is creating a feeding frenzy among companies looking for quality managers. Bidding wars and hiring incentives are becoming common place. For those of you that have the skills this means quick, sustainable employment while earning a great income.

There is one caveat, you must be qualified. Qualified can mean a few things, first you have experience. There is no substitute for years of experience managing construction projects and trades. Even bad managers with experience will eventually get the job done. However, experience is not the only way to fill one of these lucrative construction management positions. Training and certification is another path to landing a career in construction management. There are many colleges and universities that offer degrees in construction management, unfortunately, the ever-increasing cost of college tuition and the crippling debt that comes with it is not usually a viable answer. Alternatively, there are certification opportunities available that are far less expensive and can offer a potential candidate a competitive advantage when seeking a career in construction management. But buyer beware, not all certification courses are created equal.

At Builder Tactics our training academy was developed by actual construction managers with more than 20 years in the construction industry. We pride ourselves on providing real, practical and comprehensive training that will not only make you proficient as a construction manager but also train you to be an industry leader. After all, the very best managers are leaders first. The foundation of our training course is based on what we believe are the four pillars of construction management. Time management, site management, fiscal responsibility and leadership. These four principles make up the up the core of our training program. Check out our Builder Tactics Training Academy for more details and our foundations page for more insight into our core principles.
